Scientists have launched an urgent probe into fresh large holes discovered in Siberia

In the chilling expanse north of Siberia, on the Yamal Peninsula, a series of vast, enigmatic cavities emerged from the ground.

Upon drawing near, Professor Vasily Bogoyavlevsky and his team, through the ghostly lens of satellite imagery, discerned not just one, but several such abysses lurking in proximity. Before long, whispers grew that there were perhaps as many as 30 of these gaping chasms scattered across the frozen landscape.
